The Summit Tournament, hailed as THE regional tournament of the year begins December 29th. The Cyclones have drawn into the second division of the round robin tourney. First game is December 29th over the holidays. First up will be the cross town Thorncliffe Tigers followed by the skilled Pleasentville Pirates. The top two of the three teams in the division will advance to sudden death elimination. Dont miss out on the action!BINGO FUNDRAISERThis years bingo fundraiser is Oct.29th at the Sunnyview Community Hall. Hello to The Sunnyview Cyclones Mite 'A' Hockey Club website. The Cyclones have kicked off the season with a decent 7 wins 6 losses and 2 ties for 16 points. The 16 points puts them in the middle of the Northwest Division pack with 4th place in the 7 team division. Their most impressive win a 7-2 thrashing to the second place Grandman Grizzlies. With 12 first year players on the team the Cyclones are looking for even more improvement in the second half of the season. Top scorer Stephen Quiten is lighting it up with 14 goals and 15 assists for a whopping 29 points. Other notables are first year player Chad Bradley, and the solid goaltending from Katie Caston and Carson Carter. The way the Cyclones are playing we're in for an exciting second half of the season. So come on out and cheer on your Cyclones! |
